My Gen X Playlist: Electricity – OMD

  1. We’ve had good luck with our Camry Hybrid. 262,000 miles and a bit so far. I’d like to get an electric car next but we probably won’t because of our plans to travel around the country.

It is hard to believe that song was written by people my age in the 70s. I wasn’t as aware of the world back then. I don’t remember what I thought about other than leaving my parent’s home.

    1. You and me both. Some people amaze me.

I’ve never driven a car past 200K before. My car is not too far off, but with working from home, I may never reach it. Congrats on getting a great car. That’s always a good feeling.

  2. Interesting line about solar being the “final” source of electricity. I agree, they sound mature for their age.
Does anyone like buying cars? At least they don’t ask men if they’d like to come back with their husbands to help make the final decision.

    1. OMG. When my wife was buying a car, the salesman kept talking directly to me. I told him I’m not the one buying the car, don’t talk to me. Of course he didn’t listen. We were both offended. He literally lost the sale based upon being a dumb ass.

      1. We did the same. It’s ridiculous.

My friend was VP of sales. The dealer was condescending and asked her if she could really afford the car on her own. I’m surprised she didn’t knock his block off. It’s hard to believe these attitudes still exist today.
