My Gen X Playlist: Dream – Priscilla Ahn

  1. I agree with all of this! I watched ER and Grey’s Anatomy, and I love any kind of medical show. I also watch The Pitt. I think it’s my favorite of all the medical shows. It seems more authentic and gritty than the others.

Beautiful song choice! I started rewatching Grey’s Anatomy after the actor who played McSteamy (Eric Dane) passed away recently. I had forgotten all the great music the show spotlights!

  2. I’ve wanted to check out The Pitt, I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. Didn’t I hear something about the showrunners from ER were actually trying to sue them? Arguing that they just blatantly lifted the entire premise of ER.

I didn’t watch all 15 seasons of ER. But I’m familiar with basically all the characters, except for the ones in the later seasons, and most of the major story arcs.

I never got into Grey’s Anatomy. I watched the first episode and I thought to myself that those were the winiest doctors I’ve ever seen in my life. I literally thought the show ended seven years ago and was equally stunned to hear that it’s still on.

But by all accounts, The Pitt sounds pretty cool

  3. I still say ER is top dog over Grey’s and The Pitt but maybe that’s just because it was the OG and for me, stuck more/better. I fell off of Grey’s after probably 5ish seasons, it just no longer interested me.
This is a pretty little song, reminds me of the songs that the character Amber (played by Mae Whitman) from Parenthood sang on the show.
