  1. 🤣🤣 I’m sorry about the shaving cream incident but it’s also hysterical. Thank you for sharing it with the internet! It made me think of There’s Something about Mary 🤣 have you tried the Callin’ Oates Hotline? 719-26-OATES if you want a laugh!

    1. I can laugh about it now! Back then I was kicking myself for months. So lame.

Something about Mary! Too funny. That was such a great movie!

I just googled the Oates hotline. What the…? Very obscure and hilarious!

Thanks for returning the laugh this morning!

  2. Hey at least enough time has passed that it’s not *too* embarrassing for you anymore, right? I went to a job interview once where they gave me a spelling test. I so wasn’t prepared. I failed it miserably. Ha!

      1. Yeah, spell check does that to me too. Like, how did you even come up with that word, computer? it’s not even close to what I typed.

  3. Oh! I feel this. I’ve royally messed up interviews by being too cocky or too desperate. I can’t say for sure, but I’m pretty sure I tend to laugh too much and glisten with sweat.
I’ve never looked closely at the words before – ‘you hurt others so easily because you don’t feel pain’. That’ll stay with me for awhile. Oh the Humanity!
    Thanks for this.

    1. Thanks for commenting. I think I’ve had those two as well. Interviewing can be a roller coaster ride and I’ve found I’ve learned a lot of lessons from them. Some just a little more painful than others. I find that I continue to be a work in progress!

  4. Ummm… this isn’t an interview, but once I did get all the way to a doctor appointment, not realizing my 4 month old had no diaper on. Never trust a child to do her mothers job… did not know til my baby pooed right in the waiting room… and my diaper bag was in the car… never made this mistake again… Have a great rest of the weekend.

    1. Oh man. That was so good it gave me chills listening to it. The rap, the harmonizing with Hall and the guitar at the end. I’ve never heard of these guys before, but I’m going to check out more of their stuff this weekend. A big thank you! I love interesting covers or collaborations to great songs! Many thanks!

    1. Thanks! That must have been great concerts! Not sure if you saw this, but another reader added another version of Rich Girl in the comments. It’s a collaboration of Hall and Dirty Heads. It’s so good. Never heard it before until she added it. Give it a try if you haven’t heard it before
