My Gen X Playlist: The Freshmen – The Verve Pipe

    1. My current degree concentrated so much on business, I’d probably look for something completely different. Musicologist is something I’ve never heard of. It sounds really interesting. Thanks for planting that seed. A friend suggested an MFA if I wanted to pursue writing in more depth or to look at other creative outlets. That sounds pie in the sky, but fun. A liberal arts degree would be a nice rounding out. I could choose a variety of classes to enjoy.

Thanks for your question today. This is an interesting thought process. I think this is a real possibility.

    1. Returning to college sounds fun. I think I’d be in a different mindset taking classes. Before was solely getting the classes in to graduate. If I went back, I’d soak up the content more out of shear interest. All I need now is a truck load of cash so I can start my “independently wealthy” plan.

  2. Forgot about this song. The only one I ever hear by these guys is Bittersweet Symphony. I think this one’s better. I and a lot of my friends took a history of rock class in college. We thought it would be a piece of cake. The teacher knew people took it for that reason and it turned out to be one of the harder freshman courses available. Still fun.

    1. The history of rock sounds like a great class. I should have looked for a class like that when I was in school. Yeah, even if it was difficult, it still would have been fun. Maybe I’ll look for a class at the local community college

  3. Wow, helping each others learn English… that’s quite a service! I haven’t heard this song in a very long time. And today is the first time on anyone else’s blog that I haven’t been able to access the video due to international restrictions. (Why is that even a thing in this supposedly borderless society of the internet age?)

    1. The language exchange is typically a two way street. They assist me learning their language, too. Since I taught conversation English for a year, it usually became me helping them the entire time. I didn’t mind. Teaching is fun.

Oh, I didn’t know about the international restrictions. I don’t understand the need for the restriction. Weird.
