  1. I love that your 83-year-old mother is the queen of emojis! My father used to use them and was always up on the latest technology.

My husband LOVES the Monkees! He and his sisters used to watch the TV show all the time as kids, and they even did the dance that goes along with the theme song. I don’t get it. I never watched them, so I guess they are not nostalgic for me.

  2. Oh yes. 💯! The Monkees theme song was the best. We were in ❤️with Davy Jones in my neighborhood. And we would also perfected the Monkees leg-over-leg walk from the theme song. Great memory. Thanks!

  3. The monkees were a combo of two legit musicians who could act and two actors who could sing and play instruments..it’s a shame they couldn’t be taken seriously as a band. Some of the later albums they play everything on are decent. Unreal that hendrix played a few dates with them too

    1. That is great info on them. I didn’t know. Especially the part about Hendrix. They had a few other songs I enjoyed. Now you have me curious. I may check out more. Thanks for the incredibly interesting comment!

  4. Never heard of the show. Maybe because I’m a US newbie, but it look pretty cool. Are they the same band that performed “I’m a believer?”
    I LOVE that song!

  5. I loved watching the Monkees. There was always a rerun in syndication no matter when I lived and it was perfect after school TV watching with my snack. I wish they had been taken more seriously as well. DId you know that Mike Nesmith’s mom was the person who invented “White-Out” correction fluid?
