  1. I can totally relate! My best friend noticed my first grey hair in grade 9! We both screamed n took off for bathroom in the middle of science class. She pulled it out. But there were more to come, gradually over the years. Now I’m 47 and have been dyeing my hair for so long, I’m not sure, but I think it would all be grey now. I will colour it til the day I die. Men look good, distinguished, with grey or white hair. And some women do too, but it’ll never be me.
I was not a worrier either, my dad’s sister also went grey very prematurely so I think it might be hereditary?!

  2. Oh wow, it’s not just a passing reference to the bomb. It’s so graphic! (I guess this song was on the album before “In My Tribe” b/c I don’t remember it.) It puts things in perspective to remember how the threat of nuclear war sort of hung over the 80s like a dark cloud — and yet we managed to ignore it most of the time and have a lot of fun!

  3. I’ve gone grey and recovered from it three times. Stress was involved. Now, at 61, I’m likely going grey for the final time. My hair is still mostly brown. Last year, because I was still working outside, it had streaks of blond. I was asked more than once if I colored my hair (streaked it).

  4. Grey hair can also be inherited from mom or dad side. I inherited grey hair from my dad. People inherit wealth from their parents, and I as a sucker inherit grey hair only! 😭
I keep dyeing my hair but I think I’m gonna let it be when I turn 50…maybe. 🤔

  5. Steve Martin is the most famous person I know who turned gray early in life, and he had a successful career. There is a documentary on Apple TV about his life. Very good!
I’m glad you’re not worried about your gray hair anymore. I think once you reach a certain age, it makes you look distinguished. 😉

    1. I grew up watching Steve Martin. If I recall correctly, you also are a fan of The Three Amigos! I used to get a lot of chiding for liking that movie, but I didn’t care. It was pretty damn funny. I’ll have to look for that documentary!
