  1. U2 are amazing but I arrived even later than you to the party, I arrived AT Zooropa, which, for some weird reason I loved…now, idk…i don’t think i could listen…but I discovered “One” and “All I Want is You” after the fact and they are beautiful and timeless songs.

    1. I think a lot of people liked zooropa. I’m probably not the norm. I think the two prior albums were so good, my expectations were too high.

Yes… those two songs are really really good. I agree, so timeless.

  2. You’re climbing up not staying down. Another U2 for you, It’s a beautiful day..

We missed U2 when they came here – The Joshua Tree tour. I can only hope they come again.

    Have a lovely weekend!

  3. ‘All That You Can’t Leave Behind’ is a great album; I’m with you on the preceding two. I’ve been a longtime fan of their, especially the work they did with Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois who produced ‘The Joshua Tree’ and ‘The Unforgettable Fire.’ The production really created the aural landscapes of those records.

Great post and linkage to your friend.

  4. Excellent excellent post, and I love the way you tied a bow on it so I can link together this band I love with the sense that getting one’s mojo back is possible! I’m not sure I want my usual mojo back, so am looking for a new one. lol
