  1. I don’t know this song, so thanks for the introduction. I am similar to your sister-in-law, mostly because I was poor for so long that I couldn’t afford to have someone fix it if I could do it myself. My hubs is more like you… call the professionals.

  2. My husband is like MacGyver. I think it takes a certain type of mind that is curious about how things work along with the confidence to take it apart and put it back together again. I’d rather buy a new one or call a professional. I guess that’s another way that opposites attract.

  3. I’m proud of your sister in law. I can cook and bake, but to fix things…no, never.
Nice song! Teenage years are the worst! I’m so not ready for my kids to be teenagers. Wish me a good luck.

  4. i had a tiny red swiss army knife attached to my keychain. when i went thru airport security they confiscated it (i had forgotten to remove it prior to my trip). i’ve yet to replace it, but thank you for reminding me how important this task is. 🙂 … i’m on it.

  5. It’s a long time since I heard Dashboard Confessional. I’m not much good with fixing stuff, always more of a strategy guy… guess there’s a need for both and we needn’t be good at everything.
