My Gen X Playlist – Another Story – The Head and the Heart

I watched this series on Netflix – Ripple. I binged it and recommend it to a friend. My friend recently said she was on episode five and loved it. At that moment, I tried remembering the plot and drew a complete blank. I’m not sure why. I just remembered the show made me feel.

So I started rewatching it from the start again. The plot came back to me. I also began noticing details that I had no idea had significance. I’m going to watch it again. I think I’ll enjoy it a little differently the second time around.

Despite their shared zip code, four strangers seem to have nothing otherwise in common. Yet what none of them realize is they have unknowingly crossed paths on more than one occasion. The challenges of life change them, and their respective decisions cause ripples no one can anticipate.

I may have had temporary amnesia on the plot, but I did remember I liked the music in the series. Here is Another Story by The Head and the Heart from the first episode. Maybe I’ll rediscover more good music along the way.

  1. Wow! I just started watching Ripple yesterday and I am hooked! Love how all the moments are connected. I am watching closely for important details, but I’m sure I will end up rewatching it later to discover everything I missed.

      1. Yeah it’s…idk…like these people are sooooo pretentious i can hardly stand it…for some reason i keep watching though 🤷🏻‍♀️

      2. There’s so much darkness in each character. And just when one takes a turn and you begin to like and root for them, they go back to their evil ways and you just want to shower to wash off the filth. Yet, that never stops you from watching…

  4. I watched it and loved it—even though it brought me to tears. It felt deeply relatable, a reminder of how our lives are connected in ways we don’t always understand.
