  1. Truly selfless. I can’t even imagine going under the knife for a stranger. Blood donation is my limit.

Sorry you’re missing your annual guys’ camping trip…I love your stories from those!

    1. I’m with you. I’m not sure I have it in me.

I’m taking a trip to Chicago. It will be my first time there. My wife tells me I work too much and need to take more time off so she’s been planning trips for us. I’m curious about deep dish pizza….

  2. Wow, your friend is on a different plane than 99% of us… as you mentioned, it’s a big thing as it is to give a kidney to a family member or very close friend. But to make that sacrifice, to go throughout life without a spare, to save an unknown stranger…pretty sure that’s the fast-track for canonization… great post and song selection! 😎👏

  3. Wow! I’m not sure you can do that in the UK. I might have to look into it. As far as I’m aware it’s one of those situations where you might be asked by a friend or relative or you wait until you die. Not sure what the policy is in the USA but the UK is no longer purely “voluntary” in the old opt-in sense. All four nations in the UK now operate an opt-out system (deemed consent), meaning adults are considered organ donors upon death unless they choose to opt out, belong to an excluded group, or their family overrides it.
