  1. Nicely made connections. I have to admit I am a conformist in many ways, or maybe it’s closer to say that I am easily swayed to friends’ tastes. Isn’t it funny how we all like to say we’re individuals, but some of us less so than others?

    1. Maybe not a conformist, but open to friend’s taste and interest. I think there is a wide range of degrees with everything. Most things I’m ok with, but I may like it at a lesser degree than others. I’ll may tag along, even if it’s not my cup of tea. Sometimes it’s the company that sways me to join.

  2. I love how you called the alternative music the good music. We are a team. 🙌🏼
Although, in higher school, I used to like Eminem and Jay-Z (maybe because if his romance with Beyoncé.)
I don’t listen to hip hop or rap anymore, but I don’t mind being around friends listening to that type of music.

  3. I’ve heard this song, but not for a very long time. It’s the perfect outside band song when on vacation near a beach. 🙂

Relate strongly to this story and your observations, though wish I’d come to peace about it sooner… in needing more space than some and being drawn to different rhythms. People have often taken it personally, so I think you’re very fortunate in having longtime friends that instead appreciate those qualities.
